Politics of Food is creating a locally sustainable food system that ensures community food security.

A sustainable food system produces locally grown, safe, nutritious food that is ecologically sound, humane to livestock, and economically viable for farmers, farm workers and consumers. Communities are food secure when all persons obtain a culturally acceptable, nutritionally adequate diet from local food sources.

POF strives to achieve this vision through intervention in the local food system and through education and advocacy.
